This Traffic Light on Rt133 Andover MA, by the IRS building has a time cycle that is dangerously short. When the light if green for travel on Rt133 and a car leaving either the IRS or the medical center moves to the stop line, the green light almost instantly changes from Green to Yellow to Red for cars on the main road. This short Green to Red cycle happens in no more than 10 seconds and appears to be triggered automatically whenever cars are leaving the IRS\Medical buildings. I've personally had this occur to me several times. As an example; I was traveling on Rt133-Lowell St. The light was RED and I was the third car in line. When the light turned Green, the first car in line was able to pass through the light, but by the time the second car is only halfway though another car had pulled up to line to leave the IRS and the the light instantly turned Yellow with only about couple of seconds before it then turned RED. If the next person in line isn't extremely attentive, they will likely run the RED light. This in fact did happen to me a little over a year ago and I was pulled over for the first time in my life and received a ticket. I did not dispute the ticket because the officer was indeed correct, I unknowingly did move through a red light. But you can be darn sure that each time I pass that light (and any others I'm extremely careful.) However over a year later I still see the timing on this light have not been corrected. PLEASE someone help make this light safe for all drivers and pedestrians!!
